Moving in the Pinzgau: planning temporary storage without carrying twice
Short answer: Temporary storage pays off when there is a gap between moving out and moving in, or when the new flat is still being renovated. At Lagerage you book with monthly cancellation, the unit is ready minutes after booking, and you bring things in or out daily from 6 am to 10 pm by code. A two-room flat usually needs 3 to 5 m².
When temporary storage makes sense
- The old flat has to be handed over before the new one is free.
- The new flat is being renovated and should stay empty.
- You move temporarily into a smaller place or in with family.
- Part of the household should be decided later: keep, sell, give away.

Timeline
- Book two weeks before moving out. The unit is usable immediately, so you can bring boxes in advance and work more calmly on moving day.
- Moving day. Drive up to the entrance, take the hand truck, enter your code. Door clearance is 0.8 to 0.9 m wide and 2.0 m high, so dismantle wardrobes.
- Storage phase. Whatever you need in between goes to the front. A photo of the contents helps you find things again.
- Moving in. Collect your things, leave the unit empty and clean, upload the photo in the customer portal, done.
Packing for storage

Cancellation
With monthly booking you cancel in the customer portal with 7 days notice. If you already know the gap will last three months, take the 3-month term and save 5 percent.
